Teenage girl aged 15 becomes latest person to die of swine flu

  A fifteen year old girl has died of swine flu in a hospital in Scotland. 

 The teenage girl died at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow and had underlying medical conditions, like many others who died off the swine flu virus, the Scottish Government said. The death of the 15 year old brings the total number of swine flu deaths in UK to 30.The global deaths due to the H1N1 virus infection is estimated at 700 by the World Health Organization.The number of flu related visits to the GPs have sky rocketed in the past weeks as NHS is struggling to cope with the spread of the flu.A National Pandemic Flue Service that will launch later this week was announced by the health secretary.This service which includes a telephone hotline is designed to reduce the stress on GPs and local surgeries. The health secretary announced this at the Houses of Commons yesterday.
